Set up - SM80 Stereomicroscope
1. Pick up scope by arm and base. Move to viewing position 6” to 12” from station edge.
2. Remove cover, plug scope, check cord - away from sink,
3. Turn Head/Turret to view position & shift zoom to 2X
4. Crank Head/Turret up about 1/2 way, Place sample on stage.
5. Turn on light one click, adjust as needed.
6. Look through Eyepiece with left eye closed. Turn big focus knob until object is in focus.
7. Now close right eye and adjust Ocular focus on Left Eyepiece until object is in focus.
8. Open both eyes, adjust focus and light as desired.
9. Do not touch lenses. Use lens paper to clean lenses.
Shut Down
1. Take sample off stage and clean stage
2. Turn off light.
3. Clean Eyepieces with Lens Paper
4.Turn Head around so Eyepieces are over the Focus/Arm.
5. Crank head down to store.
6. Unplug,wind cord around Arm
7. Put cover on scope
8. Pick up by Arm and Base. Move to storage area.
